Hidden treasures

There’s no place like home. Fortunately, Ontario is rife with possibilities and good things to eat and drink. And you don’t have to travel too far to discover them.

Few things characterize a place like its food, and Ontario is blessed with many delicious treats. Sure, Ottawa has its famed BeaverTails, Rhéo Thompson in Stratford makes delightful mint smoothies and no trip to St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market is complete without stopping for those addictive apple fritters, but the province offers plenty more off-the-beaten-track finds that are worth the stop—and the calories—if you’re in the area.
