ONTARIO SPOTLIGHT Gin was one of the first spirits Ontario’s craft distillers excelled at when the movement got underway about 15 years ago. It’s even better now, with Ontario boasting world-class gins made with local botanicals in a range of styles, such as this Georgian Bay Gin (LCBO 448597, $35.95)

SMALL TREASURES Repurpose anything from ramekins to Glencairn whisky glasses for serving mini drinks. Between vintage sherry glasses, shot glasses, espresso or teacups and small jam or spice jars, you may have more tiny glassware than you realize.

The snacktail trend is having such a big moment that some ready-mixed cocktails now come in adorable 100-mL (single serving, for spirit-forward drinks) cans.
