SEASONAL  POP-UP SUPPER

When we think of the fruits of summer, berries always come to mind. Bright, fresh and sweet, they are a symbol of summer’s bounty. Why not incorporate them into your menu with some of these berry-inspired drinks? Their berry flavour is a nod to the raspberries found in the salmon’s salsa, making them a fun match. Raspberry with Ginger!

CRABBIES RASPBERRY ALCOHOLIC GINGER BEER LCBO 370619, 500 mL, $3.65 A big punch of ginger gives this drink some prickly heat and a whole lot of aroma. It makes for a nice comple- ment to the juicy raspberry flavour.

BLACK FLY SOUR RASPBERRY LCBO 448613, 473 mL, $2.95 Bright raspberry flavour and just a hint of sour make this really easy to drink. It’s not overly sweet, making it a more mature cooler. Great match with the salsa.

SEAGRAM’S ORIGINAL WILDBERRY LCBO 161356, 4 pk, $9.95 Dark aromas of sweet berries and lots of effervescence. This classic cooler makes for a refresh- ing complement to the flavours of the salmon.

VENOM BLACK CHERRY LCBO 447607, 473 mL, $3.25

The cherry in this premixed cocktail is dark and brooding, with even a touch of spice. Bub- bly and effervescent, it’s a great way to get the party started.
