BERBERE
A dry blend of ground chilies and spices, berbere originated in Ethiopia and is used in many African countries. It can be used as-is as a spice mix but is often combined and cooked with tomatoes or other liquids and used as a sauce for brushing onto meat or fish or served separately for dipping.
