With the Holiday Season upon us, make an impression with this authentic Italian Aperitivo. An aperitivo is a popular Italian tradition that brings friends together to socialize. It combines delicious bite-sized food with crisp and refreshing PERONI NASTRO AZZURRO , and is based around the value of conviviality, sharing and generosity.

FICHI AL FORNO Baked Figs

Preparation Time: 15 mins | Serves: 8

1 pint walnuts 225g Gorgonzola cheese Extra virgin olive oil, as required Salt and pepper, to taste 10 Figs

Toast the walnuts and pulse in a blender and then leave to one side. Pulse Gorgonzola with olive oil, salt and pepper. In a mixing bowl fold walnuts into the Gorgonzola mixture. Cut the figs in half and smear with a dollop of the Gorgonzola mix on one end. Place in the oven and bake for 15 minutes at 200º C/400º F. Drizzle with olive oil and serve.
