Say Cheese Cottage cheese is having a moment, and for good reason: it’s a deliciously, creamy source of protein that can be used in a wide variety of dishes. To show off its versatility, we’ve put together a trio of quick, easy, and healthy recipes guaranteed to make cottage cheese a fixture on your shopping list.

Baked Pasta with Cottage Cheese & Basil

In large pot of salted water, boil 1 lb (455 g) dried tortiglioni or penne until very al dente, about 1 minute less than time on package. Drain and return to pot. Add 2 cups (500 mL) tomato sauce and stir to combine. Oil 12-cup (3-L) baking dish. Spread 1/4 cup (60 mL) tomato sauce on bottom. Spoon half of pasta overtop. Sprinkle with 2 cups (500 mL) grated mozzarella and 1/4 cup (60 mL) grated Parmesan. Top with remaining pasta. Spoon 1/2 cup (125 mL) tomato sauce over pasta and sprinkle with 1/4 cup (60 mL) grated Parmesan. Bake on middle rack at 425°F (218°C) for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and dollop with 1 cup (250 mL) Nordica cottage cheese mixed with 2 tbsp (30 mL) grated Parmesan. Bake another 3 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with basil leaves.
