YOU’LL LOVE OUR… IF YOU LOVE A SHRIMP RING,

Saucy, Garlicky Gochujang-Lime Shrimp Here, you’ll find that the things one loves about a shrimp ring—fresh shrimp and delicious sauce—are flipped into a sizzling warm mix that leaves lots of delicious sauce for sopping up with bread. 1/4 cup (60 mL) butter 8 garlic cloves, sliced 1 tbsp (15 mL) gochujang paste (see TIP) 1 lb (455 g) raw, fresh or defrosted large or jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined with tails on Pinches salt 2 lime wedges 1. Melt butter in a large frying pan set over medium-high heat. When frothy, add garlic. Cook until lightly golden, 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in gochujang paste. Stir until evenly mixed and hot, about 1 minute. 2. Add shrimp in an even layer. Sprinkle with salt. Cook, turning shrimp, stirring and coating shrimp with mixture just until both sides are bright pink and they begin to curl, about 2 minutes. Turn onto a serving platter. Squeeze lime juice overtop and serve immediately.

TIP Savoury, sweet and pleasingly spicy gochujang paste is a Korean condiment that is used in cooking. It can be found in many

supermarkets and Asian food stores.
