Save the oil from oil-packed tuna! It adds depth to salads and dressings.
Whether you stock big brands or the fancy stuff from Europe, canned tuna is a great way to boost the flavour and protein content of weeknight fare. Here are a few ideas:
Sprinkle on a plain cheese pizza along with capers, sliced red onion and chili flakes.
Toss with canned white beans, halved cherry tomatoes, baby arugula and a garlicky vinaigrette.
Purée in a blender with mayo, anchovies and lemon juice to make tonnato sauce for cold meats.
