With a wealth of new vodkas landing on LCBO shelves this summer, it’s a great time to throw a tasting party and experience the differences— plus we’ve got perfectly suited nibbles to add to the festivities.

HOW DO YOU TELL one vodka from another? The best way is to taste them side by side, and the best way to do that is with friends at a vodka tasting party. It’s easy to organize! Each person brings a different vodka. Taste them from identi- cal glasses (tulip-shaped glasses are ideal). Pro- vide plenty of water, spit buckets and notepads. Serve all the vodkas at room temperature to fully

experience textures and aromatics, though it’s interesting to chill a second bottle of one of them in the freezer so you can compare it with its more temperate self. Lastly, serve food. We’ve created some delectable snacks that work well with any vodka. Then sit back, start tasting and feel your mind opening up. Vodkas aren’t all the same! Vive les différences!
