S zzling Summth B BQ Recipes with Ontario Veal Chef Ted Reader (aka the Godfather of the Grill) offers three tips for grilling the perfect veal steak or chop. First, remove it from the refrigerator 30 minutes prior to grilling to allow the meat to warm up before hitting the grill. Second, sear the veal over high heat for approximately 3 to 5 minutes per side and be careful not to overcook it. Veal is best served rare to medium at most. Finally, allow the veal to rest for 5 to 10 minutes, this will help keep the precious juices inside resulting in a more tender, juicy steak. .
