“Any customer service representative in any store can help select a special wine gift: they’re working daily to be subject matter experts! Many stores have specialized product consultants as well: they’re extremely knowledgeable in premium selections like Vintages releases, and they have extensive product knowledge training on what premium wines are coming out, how to match them with food, and more.” Start with wine style and price range. Think of wines you’ve enjoyed or shared with the recipient: the LCBO.com and shelf label product details (sugar and alcohol content plus style descriptors such as “Full-bodied & Firm” or “Light & Crisp”) are a great starting point. “For an enhanced selection, there are our Destination Collection stores,” Georgakopoulos says.
