MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS Advertising materials are to be uploaded to our web-based ad portal https://lcbofoodanddrink. sendmyad.com/. Food & Drink joins many leading North American publishers who use this system, including many Canadian publications via the Magazines Canada AdDirect system. If you are set up to provide material via any of those SendMyAd portals, you can use your existing login to use the Food & Drink system. If not, you can register and get started right away. Ad materials can be uploaded, preflighted, approved, and delivered within the web portal. With the trim editing tool, ads can be repositioned and trimmed to fit Food & Drink’s specifications without resubmitting or leaving the ad portal. The portal creates a PDF/X-1a and retains all job ticket and history as metadata which become a permanent part of the ad file. Upon approval, ads are delivered directly to Food & Drink, ready for placement in the magazine. The final ad and all related assets are stored on the portal for pickup in a later publication. QR CODES When submitting ad material containing a QR code, please email the complete url behind the code to suzanne@beachesmediaservices.com PROOFS Hard proofs are no longer required. We will print to the colour specifications provided in the advertising material file. REPEAT MATERIAL Ad material will remain on the Food & Drink ad portal for 13 months only. Advertisers that wish to re-run material can re-submit it to a new issue. To re-run material older than 13 months, advertisers will have to upload it again. REVISIONS Once you upload an ad and preflight it, you may find you want to make changes before approving it for the magazine. Do this by REVISING your ad, even if you are uploading entirely new material. This will replace the material you don’t want to use and allows us to keep track of your material more easily.
