LCBO Food & Drink Summer 2026

4 DRINKS, 4 WAYS

Pale Lagers

From Radlers to Micheladas, these aren’t your standard backyard pours. Crisp pale lagers team up with pink lemonade, tomato juice and even tequila in our approachable cocktails. Whether you’re hosting a party or firing up the grill, these four serves bring unexpected flavour to familiar favourites.

BEERITA This surprisingly simple cocktail combines two summer favourites into one citrus-spiked sipper. Salt the rim of a rocks glass, then fill with beer. Blend equal parts frozen limeade concentrate and tequila. Add 1 oz of limeade-tequila blend to glass. THE PROPER POUR Keep it simple with a chilled straight pour, offering maximum carbonation and a smooth finish. The mild character complements fish tacos or ceviche. Pour pink lemonade followed by an equal amount of beer over ice, then add fresh or frozen raspberries. This fruity, three-ingredient wonder is quick enough for impromptu get-togethers and perfect for outdoor afternoons. MICHELADA Rim a glass with a mixture of salt and chili powder, then fill with ice. Add 1/4 cup (60 mL) lime juice, 1/4 cup (60 mL) tomato juice, hot sauce to taste and a splash of Worcestershire, then top with lager. Garnish with lime and top up with more beer as you sip. RASPBERRY BEER LEMONADE

Use ice-cold beer and pour gently to maintain carbonation in beer cocktails.

Ace Hill Mexican Style Lager LCBO 31452, 6 pk, $16.35

With their lively carbonation and subtle malt character, pale lagers, including pilsners and Mexican-style lagers, are an excellent foundation for refreshing beer cocktails.

Soft malt and brisk carbonation make this versatile lager just as suited to cold pours as it is to beer cocktails.
