and their artisanal winemaking techniques are designed to minimize environmental impact. Not only is their entire 150-acre property certified organic and biodynamic, but their hospitality pavilion is Gold certified for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). The building uses natural light to reduce energy output, while floor-to-ceiling double-glazed wall insulation and deep roof overhangs control temperature transfer to reduce artificial heating and cooling. Externally, a specially engineered bioswale (channelled waterway) uses native wetland plants to naturally break down pollution from stormwater.
