3 RINGS SHIRAZ 2022 Barossa Valley, South Australia 15495 (XD) 750 mL $17.95 2 This is immediately appealing on the nose with dark berry, olive, star anise and spicy oak characters. The palate delivers rich fruit intensity with fleshy texture backed by beautifully infused tannins, making it sturdy and supple at the same time with a sustained, delectable finish. Score: 92 (Sam Kim, wineorbit.co.nz, July 2024) CHÂTEAU TANESSE 2020 AC Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux, France, sustainable 666628 (XD) 750 mL $19.95 2 Brought up in one-third new French oak, the 2020 Château Tanesse is medium to full-bodied, has a beautifully polished, elegant mouthfeel, and classic notes of darker raspberries, currants, spicy wood, and tobacco. Based on 55% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc, it’s an outstanding Cadillac that should have 10-12 years or so. Maturity: 2023-2035.
