NOEMA ASSYRTIKO PGI Peloponnese

GURJAANI OLD MARANI KINDZMARAULI RED Kakheti This supple, o -dry red has a pretty if not intense nose of blueberry/cherry compote with violet and oak spice/toast. It is quite tender and fresh despite the sweetness. Alcohol is modest at 12% creating that sense of tenderness. Tannins are chalky and ripe; the length is very good. The finish is a bit pasty. Assyrtiko has risen to become Greece’s most admired and important white wine. It’s been a ectionately described as tasting like Chablis with splashes of seawater. Kindzmarauli, Kakheti This wine is made from 100% Saperavi: a late ripening grape and one of the few whose pulp and flesh, as well as its skin, are red. Apostolos Thymiopoulos has had an astonishing role in establishing modern Greece’s international reputation, particularly through his revolutionary work with Xinomavro in Naoussa. This one comes from sites ranging from 200 to 500 metres above sea level and o ers excellent complexity, depth and refinement. Look for generous dark cherry, raspberry, savoury undertones, and a spine of food-friendly acidity. A wine that will

PGI Achaia This Assyrtiko was fermented mostly in stain less steel but 20% was fermented in new oak, adding additional richness, complexity and depth to the final wine.
