Brunello di Montalcino, which must be crafted from 100% Sangiovese, is often seen as Italy’s finest expression of the grape. Quercecchio ages this wine in a combination of French and Slavonian oak, imparting a supple, lithe mouth feel alongside the grippy tannins and high-toned fruit and floral notes. RICASOLI ANTICO FEUDO DELLA TRAPPOLA IGT Toscana, sustainable Named after the fortified castle that the Ricasoli family owned for centuries, this wine perfectly captures the essence of Tuscany. It’s Sangiovese with Cabernet and Merlot, and though it possesses broad, burly shoulders, it retains an excellent freshness along with a silky texture. ZENATO ALANERA ROSSO VENETO

IGT, parziale appassimento, sustainable This wine was first made in 2012 by winemaker Alberto Zenato. He blended the Valpolicella grapes Corvina, Rondinella and Corvinone with small amounts of Cabernet and Merlot. The result is this supple, spicy, fruity wine that shows intense black pepper, leather, wild herbs, earth, cherry and plum.
