JOSÉ MARIA DA FONSECA DOMINI 2023 DOP Douro Aged in new wood, this Douro wine from Setúbal producer José Maria da Fonseca has a spicy, toasty aroma and rich tannins. ALTANZA GRAN RESERVA 2016 DOCa Rioja, vegan This deep-garnet-colored wine proffers a bouquet of cassis, caramel and lavender. Raspberry, pomegranate, milk-chocolate, toffee and fennel flavors are supported by opulent tannins and well-matched acidity. The bright finish is marked with a soft note of mint tea. The young varietal Verdejo 2023 Carrasviñas comes from a year with a little more rain but a very warm August. It is expressive, clean and aromatic, with a round and tender palate with good ripeness and structure balanced by freshness. It has 13% alcohol and a pH of 3.15, reflecting very good freshness. It was kept with the lees for four months. It was bottled in January 2024. Drink date: 2024ª2027.
