GARCIARÉVALO FINCA TRESOLMOS LIAS VERDEJO 2024 DO Rueda Made from organically grown grapes, this lovely verdejo delivers very attractive aromas and flavours dominated by soft stone fruit, notably peaches and nectarines. The acid clicks in effectively to refreshing the fruit, even though there’s a slightly viscous note in the texture. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for drinking on its own or taking to the table. The 2017 vintage suffered a terrible frost, but what grapes survived were of high quality, if not quite concentrated. The 2017 Conde Valdemar Gran Reserva shows this big concentration of black fruit, black licorice, and underlying balsamic tones as well as a balance between the fruit and oak, resulting in a medium-bodied style of complexity. Still a baby, it’s drinking well and will benefit from further aging, with an ideal drinking window of 2027-2037.
