LOVEBLOCK PINOT NOIR Central Otago, South Island, sustainable Pleasant cherry-strawberry aromas take the melody, with bass notes of smoked meats and dried florals and herbs behind. The palate is mid-weight with lovely silky fruit framed in taut, fine tannins. Well structured and approachable now, this should age nicely, too. MULDERBOSCH STEEN OP HOUT CHENIN BLANC „ WO Stellenbosch, sustainable, vegan Chenin Blanc (a.k.a. Steen) has been produced in South Africa since the 1600s and saw no oak until Mulderbosch began experimenting with oaked Chenin in 1996. “Steen op hout” is Afrikaans for “Chenin on wood” and is a nod to this pioneering approach to South Africa’s signature white.
