WHITE RHÔNE BLENDS Rich blends of Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier (among other grapes), Rhône whites are bold, rare gems, with peach, apple and spice. Despite having a lower acidity than the other wines in this feature, they’re still refreshing, crisp pairings for grilled seafood.

PAUL JABOULET AÎNÉ PARALLÈLE 45 CÔTES DU RHÔNE BLANC 2023 AC, Rhône, France An unusually fragrant and lively white Cotes du-Rhone that is generous and refreshing. White and yellow peach, apricot and ripe grapefruit aromas fill out the medium- to full-bodied palate. Long, quite zesty finish with a touch of grapefruit peel character. FAMILLE PERRIN RÉSERVE CÔTES DU RHÔNE BLANC 2023 AC, Rhône, France

Perrin are masters at producing good-value southern Rhône wines for the high street, and this is a good example. A blend of Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Marsanne and a little Roussanne, this displays great typicity – fragrant with honeysuckle, peach and apricot stone fruit, delicate but juicy.
