CA’ DEL BOSCO CUVÉE PRESTIGE FRANCIACORTA DOCG, Lombardy, Italy, 48th edition, traditional method The wickedly fresh NV Extra Brut Franciacorta Cuvée Prestige 48 Edizione bursts from the glass with a captivating mix of crushed green apples, candied lime, basil and nuances of fermented ginger. This is silken in feel, with a wave of soothingly soft bubbles o set by a core of zesty acidity as crisp orchard fruits cascade across the palate. It finishes long and full of tension, leaving the palate salivating with a salty mineral inflection. Disgorged: Fall 2025. Drinking window: 2026-2029. The palate is full and creamy, dry but deeply fruity, with terrific depth and length in the category. Lovely wine all in all, for current enjoyment. Classy package, too. Tasted December 2021.
