Though the black grape Blaufränkisch does well in Niagara, there are only tiny amounts of plantings outside of Austria, Hungary, Germany, and some other European regions. This wine is a quirky blend of Zweigelt, Merlot, Maréchal Foch, Riesling, Gamay and Cabernet Franc.
