MONTES PURPLE ANGEL 2021 DO Valle de Colchagua
SUSANA BALBO CRIOS MALBEC ROSÉ 2024 Valle de Uco, Mendoza, sustainable
For me, this is the best Purple Angel since 2016, another cooler, fresher vintage in Chile. Partnering Carmenère and 8% Petit Verdot, with equal parts of the blend from Apalta and Marchigüe, this has plenty of graphite and tarragon on the nose, supple, granular tannins, layers of coffee bean, chocolate and black cherry and a balanced, nuanced finish. Drink date: 2025-2036. Score: 97 (timatkin.com, Chile Special Report 2024 ) Full-bodied & Firm 62364 (XD) 750 mL $105.95 2
This pink wine is made from 100% Malbec grown at a soaring 1,050 metres of elevation and harvested by hand. Forged in stainless steel for maximum freshness and vibrancy, it delivers juicy berry and savoury herbal notes. Pour with paella, grilled chicken, or lamb lollipops. Easygoing & Fruity 32026 (XD) 750 mL $16.95 1
SANTA EMA AMPLUS ONE CARMENÈRE 2019 Peumo, DO Valle de Cachapoal The base of this wine (85% of the blend) is
CHILE – WHITE WINE BOYA SAUVIGNON BLANC 2024 DO Valle de Leyda, sustainable, vegan (Garcés Silva) A classic sauvignon blanc from the cool reaches of Chile’s Leyda Valley, with a zesty, energetic palate, blazon citrus notes and rich stone fruit to balance the flavour profile. Distinctive, clean, aromatic, and undeniably refreshing with a persistent finish marked by salinity. Tasted November 2024. Score: 89 (Sara d’Amato, winealign.com) Aromatic & Flavourful 389726 (XD) 750 mL $15.95 2 Featured in Dining Out Is In 4 Organic product
carmenere from the Peumo zone in the heart of the Cachapoal Valley. It’s a warm area, with soft breezes that blow through the Cachapoal River Basin, where carmenere can ripen easily. For additional acidity and tannic tension, it has 10% syrah, and the rest is carignan from Maule. This is a wine that’s juicy in character with very red fruits, very sharp acidity, and tannins that are firm but very elegant. [Drink through 2030.] Score: 93 (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2022) Full-bodied & Firm 41881 (XD) 750 mL $26.95 2 Online & Flagship Exclusive
