THE NEW RELEASE COLLECTION

FRANCE – RED WINE CONT’D BORDEAUX CHÂTEAU MAISON NOBLE SAINT MARTIN 2022 AOC Bordeaux Supérieur

BEAUJOLAIS CAVE DE JULIENAS CHAINTRE RÉSERVE DES PIERRES SAINT-AMOUR 2023 AOP

Saint-Amour is one of the smallest and northern most appellations of Beaujolais, and the commune of Les Pierres is known for producing stunning minerality in its wines. This wine is sleek and elegant, with tangy berry fruit and a beautiful mineral undertone. [Concours des Grands Vins du Beaujolais did not include a tasting note.] Score: Gold (Concours des Grands Vins du Beaujolais, 2024) Light-bodied & Fruity 44521 (XD) 750 ml $23.95 1

A blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, and cabernet franc, this wine was aged partially (70%) in barrels and partially (30%) in stainless steel. It’s a very attractive wine that shows well-layered, ripe fruit flavours – mainly red fruit and berries – and well- calibrated acidity. With well-resolved tannins, it’s a lovely wine that’s very versatile with food. It’s drinking very well now and will easily hold through the 2020s. Score: 93 (Rod Phillips, Jan. 2, 2025) Medium-bodied & Fruity 24495 (XD) 750 ml $16.95 2

The oaked portion introduces refined toast and oak spice. Meant for enjoying in its youth, it will continue to develop through 2028. Medium-bodied & Fruity 45175 (XD) 750 ml $29.95 2 Featured in Burgundy’s Bounty

Attractive nose, with ample black fruits, leather, and some cocoa husk freshness. The palate is silky, with mouthfilling blackcurrant, mint and dried herb flavours. Stylish. Score: 93 (Decanter World Wine Awards, 2024) Medium-bodied & Fruity 43941 (XD) 750 ml $42.95 2
