FRANCE – RED WINE CONT’D RHÔNE DEMAZET ARMOIRIES TRADITION CÔTES DU RHÔNE 2023 AOP Sourced from a multitude of small parcels surrounding the town of Avignon, this Vintages customer favourite is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre that offers a core of soft tannins wrapped in plush red fruit flavours, with hints of worn leather and cracked black pepper. MARANI RKATSITELI 2023 Georgia (Telavi Wine Cellar)

This wine is made from 100% Rkatsiteli: an ancient white grape that’s extremely popular in Georgia. It produces versatile, crisp wines that offer touches of almond alongside apple and peach tones. Though distinct because of its bright, fresh acidity, you could think of Rkatsiteli in terms of a Pinot Grigio and serve it accordingly as a sipping wine or paired with seafood. UNITED STARS KINDZMARAULI 2022 PDO Kindzmarauli, Kakheti ... deeply coloured, purple-hued saperavi showing a billowing, almost perfumed nose of lilac, black cherry/blackberry jam, tea and light spice. It pours full, soft, medium sweet and thick. Not quite syrupy, but there is a ton of fruit here. Tannins are soft, the flavour depth is very good to excellent. Chill lightly. Tasted Oct. 2024. Perfumed aromas of violet blossom, red currant, red raspberry tart, white nectarine skin and dried cranberry waft from the glass. The palate is dry and velvety with tannins that ride atop of the fruit structure in balanced proportion. This is a good, hearty wine that would spruce up a dinner party or Tuesday evening at home.
