Made from Cortese grapes grown on fossil-rich hillsides surrounding the Ligurian Sea, this wine suggests floral blossoms, mineral, garden herbs and subtle apple. CAMPANIA BORGODANGELO TAURASI 2018 DOCG
Made from the aglianico variety, this is a really lovely example of Taurasi. All the components are perfectly balanced from attack to finish, and it delivers a compelling flavour profile led by bright red fruit and berries. The acidity is perfectly calibrated and the tannins are drying and easily managed. It’s drinking beautifully right now and will hold to the late 2020s. (Tasted February 2025.)
