PARTS PASSION, PERSEVERANCE AND PLAIN LUCK, AS DEMONSTRATED BY THESE FIVE OUTSTANDING ONTARIO PRODUCERS. “Drink local” may be the current mantra of the beer and spirits aficionado, but as laudable as the sentiment might be, it’s a lot easier to support when local products are the equals of internationally respected brands, created by dedicated individuals who couldn’t imagine themselves doing any­ thing else. Here we present five such people, brewers and distillers for whom “local” is but a small part of the equation, and who as­ pire to craft not just great Ontario beers and spirits, but products that can stand side-by-side with the best in the world!
