Rosé is lauded by sommeliers as a versatile food wine. Most people know and love these pretty pink wines for their pale hue, light body and delicate red berry flavours. But there are many shades of rosé—and the more deeply tinted wines can be fuller in body or have a greater concentration of flavours. Depending on the region, grapes and, most importantly, the winemaker, these rosés can be complex, textural and structured. This range of expression makes them a match for an infinite array of summery foods and flavours.
