Sweet cherry, blackberry perfume, hints of violets and mint. A dark element of earth and boot paste. Textural tannins, grainy or sandy and grippy, lots of minty freshness on the palate and tart black fruit. It’s quite energetic and with lively acidity. I like its energy. Beautifully varietal and not super-polished. No need. Good as is. Drink date: 2024‡2031. An expressive, bright and vibrant nose with pine notes, rosehip and raspberry. A lovely hit of freshly cracked black pepper, Szechuan pepper, thyme and olive notes. The palate is juicy and refined with a herbal core and red fruits. Tight and vertical tannins dominate at the moment and need a year or two to integrate.
