Though varieties like Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are

grown here, Nova Scotia’s aromatic, crisp white and bright, fruity red table wines are created primarily from winter-hardy hybrids such as L’Acadie Blanc, Seyval Blanc, New York Muscat, Lucie Kuhlmann and Marquette. Unique grapes produce unique wines, affording Nova Scotia’s offerings a truly distinct character.
