WYNNS COONAWARRA ESTATE BLACK LABEL CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2022 Coonawarra, South Australia, 67th vintage This is a super release. Tannic and bold but elegant and long. That’s it, we’re done, just buy a case. It tastes of blackcurrant, bay leaves, toast and red- currant, with dusty cedar-flecked tannin reaching through. This tannin has an intent to it; a determi nation. Indeed the same could be said of the wine as a whole. It’s a beauty. Drink: 2028-2044+. BIRD IN HAND TWO IN THE BUSH SHIRAZ 2022 Australia

The family-owned Bird in Hand was founded in 1997 by Andrew and Susie Nugent. This Shiraz was sourced from cool-climate sites in Mount Lofty Ranges, Adelaide Hills and Langhorne Creek. The wine is bold and intense, with lifted violets supported by dark fruit, raspberry, dark chocolate, lithe herbs, and black pepper. Great for barbecued fare of all stripes. DANDELION FAIRYTALE OF THE BAROSSA ROSÉ 2024 South Australia

Bright salmon pink in the glass. Complex and lifted aromas of bramble, red fruits, spice, dried flowers and sherbet. Fleshy, juicy and red fruited on entry, then some very shapely tannins and punchy acidity enter the frame and deliver shape and cut. Very smart rosé. Drink date: 2025-2028. This youthful, energetic Grenache is sourced from select sites on the western ridge of the Barossa. It shows a nice purity of red fruit, with underlying herbal notes and a graphite-edged minerality.
