PINK PRODUCTION

There’s more than one way to make pink wine. Direct pressing / Red grapes are gently pressed to extract juice with minimal skin contact. Short maceration/drawing off / Juice is given contact with red grape skins, but for a shorter time than in red winemaking. Saignée / Like short maceration, but with some juice removed early while the rest is kept for red winemaking. Blending / Mixing red and white wines together.

FEATHERSTONE ROSÉ 2024 6 VQA Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, sustainable, vegan

A quirky blend of Cabernet, Gamay and Pinot Noir, this expressive pink wine evokes candy apple, strawberry-rhubarb jam, watermelon, and rose petal. There’s a subtle hint of sweet ness on the persistent finish. Easygoing & Fruity 117861 (D) 750 mL $16.95 1
