Fondue is one of the greatest pleasures in eating. When choosing its pairing, keep it simple and let the cheese do the talk- ing; the beer’s job here is to be a refresh- er of the palate, not a spotlight-stealer. Kilannan Kolsch does a great job of being just that. Malt-forward with lots of bready notes (and who is cheese’s best friend if not bread?) and a refreshingly clean finish tinged with herbal and citrus notes.
