We begin with Agiorgitiko (ahz- yor-YEE-tee-ko), Greece’s most widely planted red wine grape and signature of Nemea on the Peloponnese Peninsula. Comparable to Merlot, it’s soft and fruity with gentle tannins and notions of berries and plums. It’s often paired with lamb, roast pork, or pasta with tomato sauce.

NEMEA WINE COOPERATIVE AGIORGITIKO 2021 PDO Nemea
Founded in 1937 by a group of 70 grape farmers, the Nemea Wine Cooperative has since grown to encompass over 400 members. Made from Agiorgitiko, this soft, supple wine was matured for 12 months in French oak and offers delectable black fruit and chocolaty notes.
