This provides a beautiful, bright aromatic display with lifted cranberry, botanicals, nutmeg and other spices. It is medium weight, intense and juicy with fresh acidity, warmth and all round great energy. Tannins are modest but firm but in a constructive way. The length is excellent. Best now to 2028. It is 100% nerello mascalese from a single basaltic vineyard at 700 metres on the north slope of Mt. Etna. Tasted October 2024 then again at the winery in December 2024. A tinge of sour citrus mixes with salty minerals and fine tannins as the 2020 tapers off with staining length yet remarkably fresh. This is a fantastic rendition of the vintage. It is slightly confected to begin, then comes into focus with pure, fresh dark raspberry. Intense floral nuances of violet and rose join in, carrying over on the palate. It is concentrated in flavour with a light dusting of chalky tannins, while intrinsic juiciness keeps it agile. Admirable depth and length for the category. Drinking window: 2025-2029. ... a wine of depth and dimension with plenty of red and purple berry fruits. La Torre makes Sangiovese that is aged for five years ... The grapes ferment on the skins for up to 20 days, and the wine ages in traditional Slavonian casks. Fruit is selected from across a 4.9-hectare parcel at a cool 420 meters in elevation. This shows aromas of spices, walnuts, dark berries and hints of cedar and wet earth. Juicy and filled with fruit, with a medium to full body and firm tannins. Structured and nicely shaped, with notes of spices and bitter oranges in the long finish. Drink or hold [through early 2030s+]. PASSI DI ORMA BOLGHERI 2023 DOC

Subtle aromas of dark berries, milk chocolate and flowers follow through to a medium-bodied palate with fine, lightly powdery tannins and a fresh, medium fruity finish.
