A lovely combination of freshness and evolution: expressive red and black fruits together with notes of fig, prune, leather, coffee, and sandalwood. The palate is lively, with ripe tannins in the background, and plenty of potential for aging. The long finish engages and delights. This wine is a 50-50 blend of small-parcel Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from higher- altitude sites in the Bekaa Valley. It has good structure and depth, with generous blackcurrant, dark berry, chocolate, and a brambly/forest floor complexity. Pair this with lamb or a smoky eggplant-and-chickpea stew. The palate is slightly creamier, with refreshing acidity. This is a wine that straddles both Verdejo and Sauvignon profiles, offering clear, expressive flavor and a taut, energetic structure.
