CHILE – RED WINE ERRÁZURIZ ACONCAGUA ALTO CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2021 DO Valle del Aconcagua, sustainable A delicate and very juicy version of cabernet sauvignon that’s agile and fruity with herbal and menthol tones that are like pleasingly relaxing background music. The soft, round tannins and the fine and lively acidity lend an energetic character to it all. The final sensation of freshness invites you to keep on drinking more. This comes from the interior areas of the Aconcagua Valley, about 70 kilometers from the Pacific. It was aged for 18 months in barrels, 35% of them new. MENDEL SEMILLON 2023 Valle de Uco, Mendoza

Still something of a bargain given its pedigree and track record, Mendel’s Semillón almost single- handedly resurrected the variety’s fortunes in Argentina. Sourced from a Paraje Altamira block planted in 1942, it’s a subtly oaked delight, all citrus, aniseed and beeswax with a stony freshness and subtle wood spices. Drink date: 2024-2032. FABRE MONTMAYOU BARREL SELECTION MALBEC 2022 Patagonia

Fabre was one of the pioneers in showing the world the qualities of Río Negro. Since the mid-1990s this winery has been making wines in Allén, beside the banks of the Negro River. This comes from vineyards that are about 30 years old. 60% of the wine was aged in barrels for a year, and the rest, in concrete for a similar time. It’s a wine that offers the classic notes of blue fruits, like a bowl of blue- berries, it’s juicy and fresh, the texture is very smooth, the acidity is friendly, and the flavors are deep.
