SCHILD ESTATE BAROSSA VALLEY CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2021 Barossa Valley, South Australia [Sourced from three vineyards: Angus Brae, Narrow Road and Three Springs.] This is varietally expressive and enticing on the nose, showing blackcurrant, vanilla, clove and cedary oak characters. The palate is equally satisfying with plump mouthfeel and layers of chalky tannins, making it sturdy and persistent. At its best: now to 2036. This is immediately appealing on the nose with dark berry, olive, star anise and spicy oak characters. The palate delivers rich fruit intensity with fleshy texture backed by beautifully infused tannins, making it sturdy and supple at the same time with a sustained, delectable finish. CLAYMORE LONDON CALLING CABERNET/MALBEC 2022 Clare Valley, South Australia

A blend of fruit sourced from multiple Barossa sub-regions provides a luscious meld, with the comforting embrace of rich red berries carrying an earthy swagger, complemented by lively mulberries and blackberries, piqued by a purple perfume of violets and lavender. The expansive, luxurious mid-palate is all about relaxing in the comfort zone, with supple textures framed by subtle oak, clipped black tea tannins and a pinch of black pepper. They are clearly music fans at Claymore, fans with excellent taste in both tunes and wines. This is a Clare Valley blend of Cabernet and Malbec. A deep magenta hue, there are notes of spicy oak and dark fruits. Plums, dried herbs, chocolate, coffee grinds, bay leaves, licorice and black cherries. This is a medium length wine with fine tannins providing decent grip. Drink this now and for the next six years.
